Introducing Gaki, a jazz musician/teacher turned lofi hip hop artist from New Jersey.
Having played the sax for 21 years and received training for jazz performance, his transition into hip hop production was effortlessly natural so to speak. Gaki (real name Yuki Yoshida) has had an overbearing love for hip hop all his life and only just a couple years ago decided to devote his time fully to pursue his true passion.
Gaki's style is very much in line with chillhop or instrumental lofi hip hop, a new age genre that has garnered much popularity over the last few years. His current gear and set up consists of a Maschine MK3, SP 303, a Roland MV8000 and a midi keyboard. Below you can see him in action doing his thing!
