Introducing Lil Miss Beats, a classical musician turned lofi instrumental beats producer.
Although it only has been one year since she started producing lofi instrumentals under the alias Lil Miss Beats, Maike Watson is no newcomer to the music scene. Her background includes classical training in piano and violin as well as international performances commissioned by orchestras. Finding her calling in the genre of lofi hip hop took a journey that was years in the making.
With her SP404SX, Lil Miss Beats draws inspiration from the likes of Sarah the Illstrumentalist, Jinsang, Brenky and Mayaewk. On her Youtube channel, she provides tips and tutorials for the lofi production community.

Jk – I wish people understood what a powerful force exists in their mind. Everything originates from within. Our thoughts determine our actions, and our actions our outward reality. Change your thoughts, and slowly you begin to change your circumstance and your reality. You can be happy. You can be fulfilled. You can overcome. You CAN and You are enough. You are greater than the sum or your fears.

If you could only eat one food item for the rest of your life, what would it be?
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
One of my many dreams was to write a full symphonic orchestral piece and have it performed by a symphony orchestra. That happened last year, it was such a dream come true! The music was about the South African water crisis (and by extension, global warming etc), so it felt extra good that my music with a message saw the light of day.
