Introducing Sarah Brown, a singer songwriter with a voice that sounds delicate yet powerful at the same time.
Her vocal style can be described as soulful with clear influences from big voices like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, or Etta James and Aretha Franklin for a more classic comparison.
Sarah's passion for singing and writing was identified at a young age. Like many young talents though, the cut throat nature of the music industry was intimidating enough to steer her away, leading her to a career in accounting. But now that the music industry has evolved to a state that is more accessible for independent artists, Sarah is ready to share her true passion with the world in full gear.
With just two singles released (plus one acoustic rendition), Sarah has already garnered decent exposure from broadcasts like BBC Introducing in the UK. Her latest track Living in Sin has a bluesy melody and catchy hook with a hint of country rock.
I personally prefer the acoustic version that further emphasizes her vocal abilities which can be heard on week August 4 of our discovery list.

If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends and family assume you had done?
Probably something to do with saving a dog. Like kidnapping one if I thought it wasn't being properly cared for (crazy dog lady)
What Is In Your Fridge Right Now?
Shockingly little. I never cook, my fridge is for storing beverages like milk and wine.
If You Could Be A Member Of Any TV-Sitcom Family, Which Would It Be?
The Gellars from Friends. I would have been Jacks long lost illegitimate daughter who swoops in and becomes the favourite child over Ross.
In the apocalypse, would you rather tough it out alone or try to find a community to live in?
I'd be amazing in an apocalypse!! I'd be leading the community, like the real life Rick Grimes.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I'm still pretty psyched about coming first in my third grade track race.
If you could only eat one food item for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Spaghetti Bolognese. It never gets boring. I rate restaurants by the quality of the spag bol.

Gone With The Wind - I learned everything I know on how to be a strong woman from Scarlett O'Hara
Twilight - I'm obsessed with vampires and love stories
Back to the Future - I'm fully prepped on the rules of time travel, just waiting for it to become a thing
What is the best piece of advice you’ve received?
"It's never too late to be who you could've been" I saw it written on the wall in a cafe by the sea when I was pretty unhappy with my life and it's been my mantra ever since.
